Products description
The automatic beacon – for greater safety in the UL
With red LEDs, rotating all round; the rotation speed is intelligently increased when a FLARM approach is detected
Naturally, it is waterproof and seawater-resistant. The electronics are fully integrated into the unit – so no additional space is required.
The ERB2-H complies with FAR 23 regulations. This means that experimental aircraft also have a genuine alternative to the conventional xenon flash.
The electronic rotating beacon is encased in high-transparency, scratch-resistant plastic.
The extremely bright, red rotating sequence light has a 360° all-round beam angle and is visible 30° below and above the horizontal plane. It is connected via a four-core cable with a conductor cross-section of at least 1.5 mm².
FLARM interface
The FLARM interface is integrated to enhance visibility and thus safety in airspace. Signals from a connected FLARM device cause the frequency of the light pulses to increase continuously from a distance of <1.8 km, decreasing as the distance decreases, thereby significantly increasing the potential to attract attention.
Intelligent synchronisation
The integration of the tried-and-tested, intelligent THIESEN synchronisation enables the time-staggered synchronisation of the various connected THIESEN elements. This ‘moderates’ the current draw, preventing the battery/generator unit from becoming overloaded.
